Wizard of the cliff
In this prototype, I wanted to test ice-related mechanics on a third person controller.
The process of prototyping was pure exploration of « what can I make with Ice » and I let my imagination do the rest. it was also an opportunity to make several ice-related VFXs.
Then, I wanted to create a character that can use ice and electricity powers with 2 binary modes. The final idea is to create a boss fight that the players is going to fight by switching between his two powers.
Symetric platformer
The purpose of this prototype was to test a gameplay mechanics I had in mind.
A platformer-puzzle in which the player can select a pivot (the white circle) by hitting it, then cast a shadow related to this point that is always placed symmetrically from the player.
Then the player can switch his place with the shadow whenever he wants to solve some puzzles.
Zelda-like prototype
In this prototype, I created a zelda-like controller with small modifications compared to the original.
The goal here was to make an item that link could find and use. This prototype is not finished yet and the final result I want to have is a dungeon in which the player will evolve without, then with the item, to create a feel of re-discovery of the dungeon.
Lightning hero
This prototype is a platformer in which I wanted the character to have to power of the dash, this work was mainly inspired by hollow knight.
I tried to achieved a level in which the player can evolve and dash with a bit of air control to progress. The dash also make the player invincible while he is dashing, so I made some electric pillars that can be cross only by dashing with the good timing.
